A crown is a cap that covers a tooth completely, restoring its shape and protecting what remains. It is what holds a heavily broken or root-treated tooth together and lets it survive normal chewing forces.
A bridge replaces a missing tooth by joining crowns on the teeth either side of the gap, with a false tooth suspended between them. It is fixed in place and does not come out.
We take digital impressions using the iTero scanner rather than impression putty, which is more comfortable and produces a more accurate fit at the margin — and margin fit is what decides whether decay creeps back under a crown years later.

The honest version: For anything visible when you smile, zirconia or E-max is worth the difference. For an out-of-sight molar under a heavy bite, metal-ceramic still does a perfectly good job.

Zirconia is extremely strong and the usual choice for back teeth. E-max (lithium disilicate) is more translucent and looks better on front teeth. Metal-ceramic still works well but can show a dark line at the gum over time. We recommend based on which tooth it is and how heavily you bite.
