Braces remain the most versatile tool in orthodontics. Fixed brackets can correct bite problems that removable aligners cannot reach, and for many growing patients they are still the right first choice.
Dr. Umang Malviya holds an MDS in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics — a three-year specialist degree beyond BDS, focused entirely on tooth movement, jaw growth and bite correction. Orthodontics is not a sideline at this clinic; it is the practice's core discipline.
We offer conventional metal brackets, tooth-coloured ceramic brackets for adults who want something less visible, and self-ligating systems that can reduce friction and appointment frequency. Which one suits you depends on your bite, not on price alone.

The process

No stage of your treatment should be a surprise. This is the sequence from first appointment to finish.

Orthodontic assessment
Clinical examination, photographs, and an OPG X-ray plus lateral cephalogram where indicated, to understand both teeth and underlying jaw relationship.

Diagnosis and plan
Dr. Umang explains what is causing the problem, the realistic options, roughly how long each would take, and whether any extractions are genuinely needed.

Bonding the braces
Brackets are bonded to the teeth and the first archwire is placed. The appointment takes around an hour and is not painful.

Adjustments
You return roughly every 4–6 weeks for wire changes and progress checks. Each visit is short.

Debonding
Once the bite is correct, braces are removed and the teeth are polished.
06
Retainers
Fixed or removable retainers hold the corrected position. This stage decides whether your result lasts, so we take it seriously.
